The South Carolina Association
of the Deaf, Inc. (SCAD) is committed to providing advocacy
for all persons in South Carolina who are Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing.
SCAD supports equal access to a comprehensive coordinated
system of services and encourage all Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
people to achieve their maximum potential through increased
independence, productivity, and integration into the community.

Saturday, February 6, 2010 – SCBDA’s
General Meeting. 1:00 pm at the Midlands
Regional Outreach Center/SCSDB, 101 Executive Center
Drive, Saluda Building, Suite 120, Columbia, SC 29210.
Driving Direction: From I-26, get on I-20 toward Augusta,
you will see exit 63 (Bush River Road). Turn Right
at the light and immediate right on Berry Hill Road,
and left onto Executive Center Drive and take the first
left into the parking lot, 101 Executive Center Drive,
Saluda Building, Suite 120 (Public Service Commission
white sign) and opposite of Santee Building.
Sunday,
February 7th 2010 – LCAD hosts Super
Bowl Party. 5:00
pm until end of game at Mara’s and Carolyn’s
house, 846 McCants Dr, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. The
admission cost for members with covered foods is $5.00,
for members without covered foods is $6.00, for non-members
with covered food is $7.00, non-member without covered

the Westgate Mall. 6:30
pm at the Westgate Mall's Food Court, 205 W. Blackstock
Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301. The purpose is to get together
and enjoy chatting.

February 13, 2010 – LCDC hosts
Valentine’s Day and BBQ Party. 12:00
pm to ??? at Jarrod and Janet Tindal’s house, 401
Hill St., Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Why: To get
together to have fun and good time, GAMES, CHAT, & PRIZES!
LCDC will provide the BBQ pork and Chicken, vegetables,
desserts, and drinks (sodas, tea, water, and lemonade). The
admission cost for adults is $25.00, for children age
6 to student is $3.00, for children age 5 and under is

Meeting, you are invited to Deaf Women of SC Silent Dinner
at the Hudson Smokehouse Restaurant, 1290 Bower Parkway,
Columbia, SC. The Dinner time is 4:30 pm. All ladies
and gentlemen are welcome to join.
