Doris Elizabeth Sims Jones
Lexington, NC – Doris Elizabeth Sims Jones, 68, of Old Highway 64 West in Lexington, NC died Thursday night, December 29, 2005, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after and illness of three months.
A graveside service was held on January 2, 2006 at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Jerry Potter.
Mrs. Jones was born December 15, 1937 in Lancaster, SC to Robert Lee Sims and Elizabeth Lloyd Sims Phillips.
She was a member of Green Street Baptist Church in High Point, NC. She was also a member of the Davidson County Association of the Deaf.
She was preceded
in death by a brother, Robert Sims. Surviving are her husband David Earl Jones
of the home; one son, Cliff Hufham and his wife Mary of Morganton, NC, three
grandchildren James Clifford Hufham, II, Michael Spencer Hufham and Preston
Blake Hufham, a step-father, J.C. Phillips and his wife, Henrietta of Lancaster,
SC.
