Eunella Ward
Lenoir, NC - Eunella E. Ward, 79, of Summerfield Court, Lenoir, NC, died Monday, June 4, 2007 at the residence.
She was born March 26, 1928 in Watauga County to the late Frank and Ada Wilson Eggers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Zane Ward; a son, Randall Gary Ward; two brothers, Wilson Eggers and Estel Eggers and a sister, Dare Crouse.
Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She also attended the N.C. School for the Deaf.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy Zane Ward and wife Rosemary Daniell of Savannah, Ga., and Terry Ward and wife Karen of Cheshire, Conn.; one grandchild, Preston Kendall Ward of Cheshire, Conn.; four brothers-in-law, Dale Ward and wife Mildred, Kenny Ward, Bob Clement and wife Debra, all of Lenoir, Larry Ward of Fountain Inn, S.C.; sister-in-law, Myrtle Ward of Lenoir and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services was held Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Steve Parker. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Eggers, John Crouse, Marty Huffman, Kelly Huffman, Nolan Ward and Buddy Ward.
