James Marvin Black

Clemson - Funeral services for Mr. Black was held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2006 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial was held at Abbott Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 2 to 2:45 p.m., at the mortuary.

James Marvin Black, 66, of 203 Highland Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at his residence. Born in Pickens County, he was the widower of Peggy Cook Black, and a son of the late Lewis Albert and Jessie Mae Smith Black.

Surviving are a son, David Fletcher and his wife, Jessica, of Abbeville; a daughter, Kimberly Gillette of Anderson; a brother, John E. Black of Six Mile; a sister, Brenda J. Hendricks of Six Mile; two grandchildren, Dylan Fletcher and Kimberly Marie Claudson; and a great-grandchild, Jamie Cheyenne Calvert.

The family will be at their respective homes.
