Jimmy Hodge
CHARLESTON, SC - Mr. Jimmy O. Hodge, age 60, of Charleston, passed away in the early evening hours on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at a local hospital.
Friends and family of Jimmy are invited to attend his graveside funeral service on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at CAROLINA MEMORIAL PARK, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Visitation will be from 2:00 until time of service on Tuesday afternoon.
Jimmy O. Hodge was born on December 20, 1947 to the late Ishmael Herbert Hodge and the late Dessie Miller Hodge. He was a graduate of South Carolina School For The Deaf in Spartanburg, SC. He was an active member of the South Carolina Association of the Deaf and The Low Country Association of the Deaf. He retired from General Electric Plant in Ladson, SC.
He was a wonderful nephew, cousin and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his aunts, JoAnne H. Penington of Mount Pleasant, Claudia Wyndham, Gladys H. Lott and Eva H. Lott all of James Island; uncles, Clarence M. Haley of Ravenel and R. Emory Haley of North Charleston; and many cousin in Charleston, SC as well as North Carolina; two very special friends, Kaye Miles and Connie Vendrick and his faithful companion, his dog. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, the late Ishmael Herbert Hodge and the late Dessie Miller Hodge.
