Lee Ann Hixson Brown

SPARTANBURG, SC - Lee Ann Hixson Brown, 81, of Spartanburg, went to be with the Lord, June 17, 2005.

A native of Morristown, Tennessee, she was the widow of William Earl Brown and daughter of the late Edgar Ulis and Clara M. Hixson. She was a member of Woodruff Church of God and had been the teacher of The Silent Class for many years and worked with the Deaf Ministry.

Mrs. Brown attended the S.C. School for the Deaf. She served as Secretary for the S.C. Association of the Deaf and the Alumni Association of the Deaf.

Surviving are one son, Terry D. Brown of Woodruff; three daughters, Brenda Harris of Chesnee, Trudy Patterson of Woodruff and Carol Burdette of Spartanburg; one sister, Linda H. Moore of Fairforest; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers, A. J. Hixson, Rev. Clarence E. Hixson, John Hixson and Rev. James C. Hixson.

Funeral Services was held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Woodruff Church of God, with the Rev. James Shealy officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Honorary pallbearers will be The Silent Class of Woodruff Church of God.
