Louise Caughman Kinard
WHITMIRE - Mrs. Louise Caughman Kinard, 81, of 1116 Sinclair Ave., Whitmire, widow of Thomas E. Kinard, died Friday, September 5, 2008, at her residence.
She was born on February 9, 1927, in Oswego, South Carolina, to the late Benard Frank and Mary Alice Caughman.
She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg, SC. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a loving adopted mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Kinard is
survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Carol Thomas of Whitmire;
her grandson, Michael Paul Thomas of Whitmire; her sister, Mary C. Jones
of Columbia, and a number of nephews and nieces. She was predeceased
by her daughter, Gracie Ann Kinard.
Funeral services was conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2008 at
St. Timothy Lutheran Church by Rev. John Weaver.
Interment was in Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
