Sarah Poston

Hannah - Sarah Lou Poston, 90, died Sunday, February 27, 2005 in a Florence nursing home after an illness.

Miss Poston was born in Hannah a daughter of the late Luther Jesse and Maude Turner Poston. She was a graduate of Cedar Springs School for the Deaf, Spartanburg, SC. Miss Poston was retired from the American School for the Deaf, Hartford, Conn. She was a member of the Deaf Ministry of Calvary Baptist Church of Florence.

Surviving are three brothers, John P. (Jessie Mae) Poston and Byrnes L. (Mona) Poston both of Pamplico and Paul D. (Edna) Poston of Lake City; two sisters, Doris P. Rhodes and Virginia (Bussy) Poston both of Pamplico.

Miss Poston was preceded in death by three brothers, Watts Poston, Wallace T. Poston and Robert E. Poston; and three sisters, Georgia Lee Poston, Jessie Mae Poston, and Mary Joan Poston.

Funeral services was held on March 1, 2005 at Union Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway. The family received friends following the service in Union Baptist Church's Fellowship Hall.
