Donald G. Brant, Sr.
Ocala, FL - Donald Gibson Brant, Sr., 59, of Ocala, Florida passed away Saturday, February 2 in Ocala.
Don was born July 22, 1948 in York, SC. He grew up in SC and was 1967 SCSDB graduate and was SCAD board member from 1973 to 1975.
Don devoted his life to promoting and improving the rights of the Deaf community. Don was the Executive Director of the Deaf Services Center of West Central Florida. Don was President of the Bikers Association of the Deaf and a Harley enthusiast.
Don is survived by: his wife of 14 years, Mary Brant, Ocala; sons Donald Brant Jr. of SC; Todd Brant of Belleview, FL; Patrick Brant of SC; daughters, Callie Brant and Kathryn Brant of Ocala, FL and grandson Tristan Pax of CA.
Memorial Service: Blessed Trinity Catholic Church 5 SE 17th St. Ocala on Saturday, February 9th at 2 p.m.
