Entertainment Night
The 2011 SCAD Conference Committee is excited to offer Entertainment Night at the close of the 2011 Conference on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 8:00 p.m., with a musical performance in ASL by Sean Forbes!
Sean Forbes is a well-known musician who is Deaf. He started making music videos in his basement and today is producing a professional music video with a focus on the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community. Since 2008, he has performed in over 20 cities across the country including college campuses, live venues, the 2010 NASA sponsored TEDxNASA Conference and appeared in front of as many as 2,000 people. In the spring of 2010, Forbes signed a record deal with Web Entertainment, the same label that discovered and nurtured Oscar and Grammy Award-Winning Rap Artist Eminem. Sean released his debut EP, music video entitled “I’m Deaf,” which includes the Latin dance-influenced song, “Let’s Mambo” and whose stylish new video features the acting (and dancing) talents of Academy Award Winning Actress Marlee Matlin. Sean is living proof that if you have enough passion and dedication, magic happens and dreams come true.
